Carrie Newsom is a results-driven professional with a strong background in finance, human resources, and operations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Masters in Business Administration from William Woods University. She began her career at Nucor Steel Arkansas in 2005, where she honed her skills in a fast paced, result driven environment. While at Nucor, Carrie served in several accounting capacities as well as a Project Group Leader for a corporate wide SAP payroll implementation team.

In 2012 she transitioned to Rough County, a private equity-backed off-road supply company, where she took on key leadership roles in Finance and HR. While there she successfully helped lead and complete financial due diligence audits for three private equity sale transactions of the company. Also while at Rough Country she lead in various system implementations including upgrades to the inventory management, accounting, payroll, and ERP systems. Her ability to blend financial expertise with people-focused leadership was instrumental in helping the company grow and run more efficiently.

In 2022, Carrie had the opportunity to make a major shift in her life and decided to step down as the Controller to spend more time with her husband and three children at home. She enjoyed the change in pace and was grateful for the flexibility that the change provided.

In the spring of 2025 she joined the Hardage Group. Her varied experiences, grit, and strong communication skills enable her to adapt quickly to the recruiting and placement environment.

Outside of work, Carrie stays busy hopping from one kid’s sporting event to the next. She is most grateful for being able to raise her kids in her hometown surrounded by close family and friends.

Fun fact: In her younger years, Carrie completed 2 full marathons and vows to never ever do it again!
